“Lubber Wheel is a sculpture that captures the imperfect, inefficient process of building and designing cars. Much like a thirsty, inefficient V8 engine that demands constant fuel to keep running, the creation of these machines is a messy, clumsy endeavor. It’s not always smooth or elegant, but it’s driven by passion, time, and heart.

“This sculpture is a tribute to the Koenigsegg Ghost Squadron, where I’ve taken the 2D features of the iconic emblem and reimagined them into a lifesized, three-dimensional form. By capturing the essence of the Ghost emblem, I transformed it into an artistic rendering that exudes both power and fluidity, reflecting the high-performance spirit of the car while also giving it a dynamic, almost ethereal quality.
This sculpture embodies the spirit of both automotive engineering and the raw power of nature. Inspired by the Ferrari 156 F1 "Sharknose"—a symbol of speed and innovation in the world of Formula 1—I crafted a downscaled version, blending the car's iconic front-end design seamlessly with the body of a shark. The result is a fluid, aerodynamic fusion that channels the cutting-edge performance of the car into the natural form of a predator.
The crash happened at about that time.
