Off the Gas
“Handcrafted in the wake of a closed-down business in the automotive industry, this sculpture embodies the concept of slowing down after the storm has passed. The chaos is over, and now it’s time to take your foot off the gas and take things as they come.
Someone once told me that the first upgrade you should make on a car is the brakes. At first, this seems counterintuitive. After all, you’re thinking about going faster, not slowing down. But then it clicks—by upgrading the brakes, you gain the ability to control speed with precision, allowing you to go faster when the time is right. This sculpture reflects that philosophy: sometimes, slowing down and recalibrating allows you to accelerate with greater intention and power when the moment calls for it.”
